Nevado del Ruiz
An active stratovolcano. The volcano has erupted many times in recent history, most famously in 1985 when it killed more than 20,000 people in the town of Armero, which was buried by the world's largest recorded lahar. It's possible to hike to the snowline at 5200 m of this volcano.
