Erechtheion
This elegant temple was primarily dedicated to the goddess Athena. The uneven ground led to a complex plan, with an east-facing entrance lined with six Ionic columns. Unusually, the temple has two porches, one borne by Ionic columns, the other supported by huge female caryatids.
