Aare Gorge
The gorge was cut by meltwater after the last Ice Age slicing through the limestone bedrock. In 1887 a 1.4 km walkway was built through it; the cliffs are 50 m high and in places the gorge is pinched to 1 m width. Both entrances have stations on the railway to Innertkirchen, combi rail + gorge…
